Light Magnetoelectric Effects on nanostructures (LIMAGE)

The DIPC-Workshop on "Light Magnetoelectric Effects on nanostructures" (LIMAGE 2018) will be held at the "Donostia International Physics Center" (DIPC), Donostia-San Sebastian, on February 7-9, 2018. The aim of the workshop is to review the state of the art and new trends in the theoretical understanding and experimental investigation of the interaction of electromagnetic fields with nanostructured matter.

Topics include:
* Light-Matter angular momentum transfer.
* Optical binding and sorting.
* Near-field and evanescent wave interactions.
* Optical trapping in photovoltaics.
* Nanowire and Nanoparticle photonics.
* Nanooptics and nanostructured devices.

In the spirit of DIPC Workshops, LIMAGE would like to provide a friendly atmosphere to foster discussions and collaborations in particular between emergent and more experienced scientists in the field of light-matter interactions, by encouraging participation of PhD students and researchers at an early stage of their career. For this purpose, the program of the conference will include contributions of selected speakers as well as oral presentations by PhD students and PostDocs chosen among the contributed abstracts.
