In this project quantum simulation tools will be employed to investigate graphene based materials such as graphene nanoholes, nanoribbons, defected graphene and doped graphene. The goal would be to design the most promising graphene-based materials for their use in atomic scale devices for quantum computing/sensing. The work would be done in collaboration with the experimental group of Prof. Ondrej Dyck and Prof. Stephen Jesse at Oak Ridge National Lab (USA).
