Donostia International Physics Center (DIPC) and Sejong University in South Korea have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) designed to consolidate and expand their collaboration in the field of quantum materials and technologies.

This MoU formalises cooperation that began in 2024, and establishes the framework for the joint development of new research opportunities between the two institutions. The agreement will enable projects to be promoted in emerging areas of physics and related disciplines, as well new lines of work based on shared scientific interests to be explored. Sejong University is home to leading research institutes in physics, materials science and technology in South Korea.

The cooperation framework also provides for the possibility of setting up joint laboratories as a strategic tool for strengthening and consolidating scientific collaboration. The specific areas of cooperation will be detailed in further memoranda drawn up jointly by the two institutions.

This move means that the two organisations are reaffirming their commitment to driving forward research into quantum technologies, a key field for future scientific and technological development.
