Magneto-optical microscopy from DC to GHz **** **Magneto-optical microscopy from DC to GHz** J. McCord _Institute for Materials Science, Kiel University_ The imaging of dynamic magnetic phenomena is essential for the understanding and the optimization of magnetic materials and device structures. Magnetic domain imaging also provides the most direct access to the effective magnetic properties of materials from the macro- down to nanoscale. An overview of magneto-optical investigations of magnetic thin films will be given. Examples include magnetic sensor structures, all-optical induced magnetization reversal, and skyrmion bubbles. The main emphasis will be on the visualization of magnetization dynamics of different time-scales, including the imaging of resonant magnetoelectric sensors, SAW devices, adjustable magnetic resonance modes, as well as magnetoelastic and spin waves. **Host:** P.
