ONLINE - Basque Digital Innovation Hub, the technology link for companies **Basque Digital Innovation Hub, the technology link for companies** Amaia Martínez, Strategic Initiatives (SPRI) The Basque Government has launched the "Basque Digital Innovation Hub (BDIH)" initiative within the Basque Industry 4.0 Strategy in order to provide Basque companies, mainly SMEs, with the technological capabilities necessary to meet the challenges related to the incorporation of digital and 4.0 technologies. The objective of BDIH is to make available to Basque industrial SMEs, easily and cost‐effectively, a connected network of assets (infrastructures, laboratories, test-benches, pilot plants, equipment, software, etc.) and innovative and excellent scientific‐technological capabilities in the area of advanced manufacturing. The BDIH allows companies to cover their potential needs to design, develop and test products or processes, to perform R&D projects, scaling, training and demonstration focused on the Industry 4.0. The BDIH is composed of six technology-oriented nodes (Flexible and Collaborative Robotics, Additive Manufacturing, Advanced Materials, Smart and Connected Machines, Cybersecurity and Data Driven Solutions). nanoGUNE is member of the Advanced Materials node, offering some of its infrastructure and knowledge for training, research, testing and validation to companies. At the European level, the Commission has developed a catalogue of Digital Innovation Hubs where the BDIH appears and has presented a proposal for a specific Digital Europe Programme. Starting in January 2021, the program is expected to dedicate an overall budget of €9.2 billion in shaping and supporting the digital transformation of Europe’s society and economy. Within this frame, an ambitious goal for a strong network of Digital Innovation Hubs is set to provide companies from all European regions with support, expertise and training so they can benefit from digital opportunities. In the session, SPRI, coordinator of the initiative will explain BDIH´s objectives, offer and the activities that will be organized in the framework of this new initiative. \---------- Please **REGISTER** for BASQUE DIGITAL INNOVATION HUB, THE TECHNOLOGY LINK FOR COMPANIES on Apr 20, 2020 11:00 AM CEST at: After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
