Cancelled - Devices, models and algorithms for nuclear imaging and beyond

The seminar has been cancelled.

Improvements in radiation detection have open up new avenues in nuclear imaging, such as multimodal imaging systems, large axial fields of view for total-body positron emission tomography (PET), unconventional geometries for organ-specific imaging or applications beyond diagnostics. In this talk, I will first review the basics of nuclear imaging techniques, including an introduction to the inverse problem of obtaining volumetric images from measurement data. Next, I will present selected examples of recent advances and applications, highlighting both new opportunities and challenges.
