Introduction to supermassive black holes I will give an informal introduction to supermassive black holes, before we connect in streaming to the press release of the Event Horizon Telescope. The EHT has been trying to image the light around two nearby supermassive black holes using radio interferometry, and they will likely announce their first successful results.
