In this talk we shall first review the techniques of shortcuts to adiabaticity
by focusing on the experimental progress. Later, we explore how to design the
shortcuts to adiabaticity for controlling BECs and soliton in trapping
potentials based on Lagrangian variational method. Next, we focus on the
effects of many-body coherence on the quantum speed limit and shortcuts to
adiabaticity in ultracold atomic gases. To illustrate the effect of the
coherence on the dynamics we consider squeezing the anharmonic potential which
confines the spinless fermions and the bosonic Tonks-Girardeau gas, and find
that the quantum speed limit exhibits subtle differences between the atomic
species. Then, we exemplify that other applications of shortcuts to
adiabaticity for the driven linear and nonlinear quantum systems with the
applications in quantum information processing. Finally, the talk ends up with
some perspectives on the digitized adiabatic quantum computing and machine
learning with shortcuts to adiabaticity.
