Optics of Graphene Graphene is a benchmark and a representative member of the quickly expanding family of two-dimensional single crystals, where one can now find topological insulators, high-Tc superconductors, charge-density wave dichalcogenides and other systems of much interest. Two-dimensionality gives rise to unprecedented control of the electronic and optical properties using electric field, which opens pathways for various applications and allows a deeper insight into the physics of the material. In my talk I willl concentrate on the infrared optics of electrostatically gated graphene with an emphasis on the field-dependent electronic properties and electron-phonon interaction.
