Synthesis and characterization of inorganic perovskite quantum dots for photovoltaic applications Organic-inorganic perovskites are one of the fast-growing topics in photovoltaic research due to their relevant optoelectronic properties and the rapidly increased of their power conversion efficiency (PCE). Although the various advantages of lead halide-based perovskites since they exhibit the required properties as an absorber, the instability remains the main issue. For building optoelectronic devices, quantum dots (QDs) are adaptable in terms of shape, size, bandgap, and optical characteristics. Both photovoltaic applications and optoelectronic devices have shown great potential when the two materials are strategically combined. Combining QDs and perovskites has shown to be a highly successful tactic for producing pinhole-free, more stable perovskite crystals that also allow for the tuning of other characteristics. The hot injection method used to synthesize QDs as well as their optical and physical properties will be discussed. Host: Fabienne Barroso Zoom:
