The family of quantum materials with emergent quantum properties controlled by
external parameters is diverse and constantly growing. In this talk, I will
demonstrate how to construct quantum materials from superconductors and
ferromagnets. Heterostructures combining these materials feature non-trivial
electronic properties leading to significant thermo-spin effects. These
effects are promising for the possible new type of radiation detectors.
Moreover, superconductor/ferromagnet nanostructures give rise to the novel
family of magnon quantum materials. I will give an overview of recent
experiments and the theory of hybrid magnon-polariton states in such systems.
Finally, several perspective directions to develop on-chip quantum magnonics
will be presented.
