Optics, Self Assembly, and Evolution of Nanostructural Colors in Birds and Insects

Richard Prum is a Professor of Ornithology at Yale University where he is developing research on the evolution of different species. He has been applying some physical methods to characterize structural color of feathers, among other aspects of animal evolution. Prof. Prum is am Ikerbasque sabatical professor at DIPC. This seminar will be very general an introductory about the subject of structural color in evolution.
