Andreu Mas-Colell is the current Economy Minister of the 'Generalitat de Catalunya'. He is also a prestigious researcher in the field of Economy, developing his activity at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Harvard University and UC Berkeley, among others. He has been Sloan Fellow, Guggenheim Fellow, and has been the recipient of numerous prizes. In addition to all that, Andreu Mas- Colell has been one of the key persons in the design of Catalunya's recent scientific policy and his seminar will be devoted to explain his thoughts on this matter.
