Magnetic properties of iron pnictides from spin-spiral calculations Doping dependence of magnetic properties of novel iron-based superconductors LaFeAsO, BaFe2As2, and LiFeAs is studied using the band-structure approach. The stability of collinear anti-ferromagnetic order in these compounds is discussed. It is shown that the magnetic properties of iron pnictides cannot be described by the classical Heisenberg model with nearest- and next-nearest- neighbor exchange interactions.
