At CERN, scientists and engineers from around the world collaborate with the goal of understanding the essential elements of matter. Since 2012, they have also had a pioneering program, Arts at CERN, the Laboratory's art program created to promote dialogue between art, science, and society. In this talk, we will reflect on the role of Arts at CERN within the Laboratory, and how it establishes connections between creative communities, researchers, and its impact on culture and contemporary creation.

En el CERN científicos/as e ingenieros/as de todo el mundo trabajan en colaboración con el objetivo de comprender los elementos esenciales de la materia. Desde el 2012 cuentan además con un programa pionero, Arts at CERN, el programa de arte del Laboratorio creado para promover el diálogo entre arte, ciencia y sociedad. En esta charla reflexionaremos sobre el papel de Arts at CERN en el marco del Laboratorio, y el modo en el que establece lazos entre comunidades creativas, investigadoras y su impacto en la cultura y en la creación contemporánea.
