Over the past decade, the field of quantum computing has experienced tremendous growth. Most notably, hardware availability has improved to a point where today we have access to systems of over 100 physical qubits commercially available. However, until fault tolerance is achieved, utilizing these capabilities to the their full extent requieres intimate knowledge of their strengths and limitations. Recently, IBM researchers showcased novel methodologies that allow the execution of over 3,000 entangling gates across more than 100 qubits, and subsequent retrieval of statistically significant results beyond the reach of brute force classical computation. In this talk we will show you how to achieve this remarkable feat, as well as the key error mitigation techniques that will help you achieve utility-scale quantum computing in your own quantum computational workflows. Be prepared for the upcoming IBM Quantum System you will have installed in Donostia!
