The Polymers & Soft Matter Group (PSMG) at the CFM is organizing a Series of Seminars 'Neutron Scattering Series' with the following aims:

• making scientists in our environment aware of the possibilities offered by neutron scattering techniques in different fields of research (magnetism, biology, materials science, chemistry, etc)
• giving a broad overview of the state of the art of neutron facilities and instrumentation
• promote exchange of experiences and dialogue with renowned researchers in the field

The Series will consist of about one seminar / month. The three first Seminars are already scheduled:

• June 24: Mario Pérez (ESS-Bilbao): 'ESS Bilbao. Developments in Neutron Science and Technology'
• July 18: Reidar Lund (Oslo University): 'Mechanisms of Antimicrobial Peptides: What Can  We Learn from X-Ray & Neutron Scattering Techniques?'
• September 9: Txema Porro (BCMaterials): 'Neutron Scattering to Study Magnetic Materials'
