Quantum Breakfast and Friends
New Quantum Breakfast and Friends edition
This time, two friends are going to delight us with their presentations.
At 10 am, Iker Gomez-Viloria from the Quantum Nanophotonics Laboratory (CFM) with his talk entitled: "Modelling optical traps through multipolar decomposition".

Then, we will have breakfast from 10:40 to 11 am.

The second talk will be at 11 am and the speaker will be Jan Naumann from the Dahlem Center for Complex Quantum Systems, Freie Universität Berlin (Germany). His talk is entitled: "Tensor network simulation of 2D spin liquid candidates: A study of the maple-leaf lattice".

Jan Naumann, Dahlem Center for Complex Quantum Systems, FU Berlin (Germany)

Therefore, the agenda is as follows:

  • 10:00 to 10:40: "Modelling optical traps through multipolar decomposition", Iker Gomez-Viloria, Quantum Nanophotonics Laboratory (CFM).
  • 10:40 to 11:00: Coffee Break
  • 11:00 to 11:40: "Tensor network simulation of 2D spin liquid candidates: A study of the maple-leaf lattice",  Jan Naumann, Dahlem Center for Complex Quantum Systems, FU Berlin (Germany).
We intend these talks to be educational in a distended atmosphere. They are a good opportunity to gain insight in quantum technologies, as well as to bring together the local community.

We are always searching for speakers for such educational talks. If you would like to take part, please, send an email to Miguel Lopez-Varga <miguel.varga@ehu.eus>.

Hope to see you!

Best regards,
