L2 Biophysics

Esta línea de investigación agrupa la actividad teórica y experimental sobre el estudio de fenómenos biológicos utilizando metodologías y conceptos de física y química. Incluye el uso de métodos computacionales para describir las propiedades y la dinámica de biomoléculas, el diseño y la síntesis de sistemas moleculares de interés biológico, así como el desarrollo de dispositivos de sensores virales.

Temas específicos

  • Plegamiento de proteínas y daño proteico por metales de valencia alta y especies reactivas de oxígeno y nitrógeno.
  • Sistemas coloidales basados en plasmones para fotosíntesis artificial y biosensores; nanopartículas plasmónicas para biopsia líquida.
  • Enfoque interdisciplinario para desarrollar nuevos métodos de detección vírica.
