Study of the properties of the low-dimensional systems that can be realized by loading ultra cold atomic gases in optical lattices or other types of very anisotropic traps. Study of the absence of thermalization in integrable realizations thereof. Calculation of corrlation properties in strongly interacting systems. Study of the atom-surface interactions, the Casimir Effect in and out of equilibrium.
