Donostia International Physics Center (DIPC) is seeking a Maintenance and Facilities Manager to play a central role in the launch and operation of its new research building, supporting advanced laboratories and scientific infrastructure in an international research environment
Donostia International Physics Center (DIPC), an internationally renowned cutting-edge research center at the forefront of physics and materials science, is expanding with a new state-of-the-art building that will soon open its doors.
This landmark facility will host advanced laboratories, high-performance scientific equipment, and collaborative research spaces designed to support world-leading research in physics, materials science, biochemistry and quantum technologies.
Located in San Sebastián (Basque Country, Spain), DIPC offers a vibrant international research environment and close collaboration with leading universities and research institutions.
In this context, DIPC is seeking a Maintenance and Facilities Manager to join its Administration and Services team and take responsibility for the management, operation and technical coordination of the center’s facilities and infrastructure.
The selected candidate will play a central role in ensuring the smooth operation of the building and DIPC’s facilities and scientific infrastructure. Responsibilities will include overseeing the maintenance and performance of building installations (electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, safety systems, laboratories, gas and cryogenic equipment), coordinating technical services and external contractors, and supporting researchers in the design and assembly of experimental systems.
We are looking for a motivated professional with an engineering degree or relevant technical training and demonstrated experience in facilities management, technical installations or infrastructure maintenance. A good level of English is required to work in this international environment, while knowledge of Basque will be considered an asset.
DIPC offers an indefinite contract and the opportunity to contribute directly to the launch and operation of a new scientific building within a leading international research center.
