The Pint of Science festival is an international event that gathers leading researchers to share their reserach in a relaxed atmosphere. DIPC sponsors and participates in this initiative to bring science closer to the public.
Francesc Monrabal (DIPC, Ikerbasque) will present "Detecting ghosts in particle physics". He will talk about the neutrino, how it went from being a risky theoretical idea to being detected with almost unthinkable detectors and what its detection meant for particle physics, even for astronomy. He will also explain the importance of this particle in the present and future of particle physics.
Language: Spanish.
The program at Errotatxo on may 13th includes the following talks:
- "CO2, de desecho a recurso" - Guillem Seychal (POLYMAT, UPV-EHU) y Marco Caliari (POLYMAT, UPV-EHU)
- "Eta Balentziagak proteinentzat diseinatu izan balu?" - Aitor Ontoria Jimenez (POLYMAT)
