The Pint of Science Festival is an international event that invites the scientific community to share their knowledge in a relaxed atmosphere. DIPC sponsors and participates in this initiative to bring science closer to the public.
On Tuesday DIPC participates in:
- "Como observar lo que no se puede ver" with Helena Almazán. Neutrinos are one of the most complex particles in our universe, given the difficulty of detecting them and the lack of information we have about them. There are many properties that we still do not know about their nature, and that can provide crucial information about the formation of the universe and the role of neutrinos in it. In this talk, we will talk about the scientific efforts that are being made to answer these questions, and how physicists are able to observe what cannot be seen. Language: Spanish. Duit Wine & Bistro, Antonio Arzak Kalea, 4, Donostia / San Sebastián.
- "Averiguando si tu pareja te engaña cuánticamente" with Gabriel Molina Terriza. In this talk I explain how electrons in diamonds and photons, the particles of light, can be used to understand the universe... and also whether your partner is cheating on you (quantum or not). Language: Spanish. Kantina Lekuona, Av. Ugarritza 1, Errenteria.
Opening: 18:00. // Event: 19:00-21:00.
