On October 3 and 4, 2025, Bergara will become the epicenter of science outreach with the celebration of the 12th Jot Down Science Awards, dedicated to “Critical Elements: From Tungsten to Rare Earths.”

The Laboratorium Museum in Bergara will be the main venue for the event, which will bring together leading science communicators from across Spain and offer activities for all audiences.

Highlights of the event:

• Lectures: History and applications of tungsten and other critical elements, delivered by experts from the DIPC, universities, and research centers.
• Workshops and family activities.
• “Bedelkar Jaia”: The town will be transformed into an open-air science laboratory with gastronomic routes, periodic table–inspired decorations, and a celebration of local businesses.
• Free guided tours of the Laboratorium Museum (limited places, registration required).

The Jot Down Science Awards are organized by Jot Down Magazine, in collaboration with DIPC, the LSC, the Laboratorium Museum, and the University of Seville.
