On-line school visit (Women in Science)
Every year, the DIPC and the Materials Physics Centre (CFM CSIC - UPV/EHU) organise visits for schools. Every year, coinciding with the EMAKUMEAK ZIENTZIAN initiative, we organize a special virtual tour to raise awareness of the work of women scientists working in our scientific environment and to offer new references to new generations. The objective is to celebrate the International Day of Girls and Women in Science on February 11 with our scientific community and the educational system.
This initiative aims to convey the appeal of a scientific career as a career option and to showcase the great scientific work being carried out in our environment by female scientists in the fields of materials science, nanoscience and supercomputing, among others. Our centres are multidisciplinary, staffed by physics, chemistry, computer science and engineering specialists who actively participate during the visit to our facilities and laboratories.
