Fascinating phenomena arise from topological quantum systems, including robust transport and exotic quasiparticles. Progress in the engineering of quantum systems has opened the door towards tailor-made topological matter, such as synthetic fractional quantum Hall states of photons and atoms, atomic Floquet Chern insulators, topological gauge theories with cold atoms, topological spin liquids with Rydberg atoms and with trapped ions– to name just a few recent experimental highlights in this very active field.
The SYNTOM workshop will bring together ~60 experimental and theoretical scientists of the field to explore new opportunities for creating, exploiting, and understanding topological quantum matter. The program includes invited talks for the list of speakers. In addition, all participants will be given the opportunity to present their research during a poster session or contributed talks.
