Basque Ministers Perez Iglesias and Jauregi visit DIPC facilities

Ministers of the Department of Science, Universities and Innovation and the Department of Industry, Energy Transition and Sustainability of the Basque Government visited DIPC today.

This morning the Minister of Science, Universities and Innovation, Juan Ignacio Pérez Iglesias and the Minister of Industry, Energy Transition and Sustainability, Mikel Jauregi visited the facilities of the DIPC (Donostia International Physics Center) together with Jaione Ganzarain, Deputy Minister of Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation. During the visit, they learned first-hand about the research, innovation and knowledge transfer activities carried out at this center of scientific excellence, as well as its strategic facility, the Supercomputing Center.

Both the Ministers Pérez and Jauregi and the vice minister Jaione Ganzarain are members of the board of trustees of DIPC, and have been received by its president, Pedro Miguel Etxenike and its scientific director, Ricardo Díez Muiño. Both departments of the Basque Government coincide in their interest in the research work of DIPC in cutting-edge areas of physics and related disciplines, as well as in its ability to transfer scientific advances to technological solutions and innovative products.
