Pamplona will host a screening of the documentary "El secreto de la Naturaleza", followed by a discussion with Pedro Miguel Etxenike and Fermin Erbiti.

Directed by José Antonio Pérez Ledo and produced by the Scientific Culture Chair of the University of the Basque Country (EHU), the documentary explores the life and work of Pedro Miguel Etxenike, Professor of Condensed Matter Physics at the EHU and President of DIPC. Running for 55 minutes, the film offers audiences Etxenike’s reflections on science: what it is, what it entails, and why it is so relevant, presented in an intimate and accessible way. As Etxenike himself puts it, science is “a transformative seed that gives us hope for a fairer, more humane future. It is culturally important, economically decisive, and aesthetically beautiful.”

Iker Badiola, Director of the Scientific Culture Chair of the EHU, will introduce the documentary. Following the screening, a discussion will take place, with Fermin Erbiti, Head of Communications at the Navarra Court of Auditors, joining the film’s protagonist.

The event is organized by the Ateneo Navarro-Nafar Ateneoa and the Scientific Culture Chair of the EHU, with the collaboration of the DIPC and the GOLEM cinemas in Pamplona.

Admission is free, subject to venue capacity.
