DIPC and the Chair of Scientific Culture at EHU

The collaboration between DIPC and the Chair of Scientific Culture at the University of the Basque Country (EHU) is a strategic alliance to bring science closer to society through innovative, open, and participatory formats.

Under this collaboration agreement, numerous initiatives aimed at diverse audiences are being promoted. Among them are the DIPC’s weekly contributions to the Mapping Ignorance blog; the first edition of Donostia, Zientzia Hiria, held in 2022 and dedicated to the dialogue between surfing and science, which gave rise to projects such as the short film Olatu Baten Istorioa and the traveling exhibition Surf and Science; as well as several screenings of the documentary El secreto de la naturaleza (José Antonio Pérez Ledo, 2018), accompanied by public discussions with Pedro Miguel Etxenike.

The collaboration also includes participation in the Bidebarrieta Zientifikoa / Bidebarriera Científica series in Bilbao, reinforcing the shared commitment of DIPC and the Chair to a critical scientific culture that is accessible and connected to the public.
