Pedro Miguel Etxenike and his documentary “El secreto de la Naturaleza” in Zarautz
"El secreto de la Naturaleza" (José A. Pérez Ledo, 2018)

ZarautzOn association in Tolosa has organised a screening of the documentary "El Secreto de la Naturaleza", followed by a discussion with Pedro Miguel Etxenike and Guillermo Roa.

Directed by José Antonio Pérez Ledo and produced by the Chair of Scientific Culture at the Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (EHU), the documentary explores the life and work of Pedro Miguel Etxenike, Professor of Condensed Matter Physics at the EHU and President of DIPC. With a runtime of 55 minutes, the film presents Etxenike’s reflections on science—what it is, what it entails, and why it is so important—in a warm and intimate way. As Pedro Miguel Etxenike himself puts it, science is “a seed of transformation that gives us hope for a fairer, more humane future: it is culturally significant, economically vital, and aesthetically beautiful.”

The director of the Chair of Scientific Culture of the EHU, Iker Badiola, will be in charge of presenting the documentary. Following the screening, Guillermo Roa, chemist and science communicator, will join Pedro Miguel Etxenike in the conversation.

Free admission until full capacity is reached.
