Synopsis of the film:
George Taylor is an astronaut who is part of the crew of a spacecraft on a long-term mission that crashes on an unknown planet where, at first glance, there is no intelligent life.

Juan José Gómez Cadenas is an Ikerbasque Research Professor at the DIPC and the scientific director of the NEXT project in particle physics. After the screening, there will be the usual discussion session where attendees can ask questions.

About the speaker

Juan José Gómez Cadenas is an expert in particle physics and nuclear instrumentation at DIPC. Director of the NEXT experiment at the Canfranc Underground Laboratory and the CRISP project,
which develops new instrumentation for medical imaging. His achievements include the Break-Through Physics Prize and two prestigious grants from the European Union. As a writer, he has published five novels, two popular science essays, and a book of poems. He directs the science section of the online magazine Jot Down.
