The life of a Hungarian physician through his struggles against the leading pragmatic, conservative quacks’ party while he becomes the first pioneer of the antiseptic procedures, saving many women’s life with his groundbreaking method.

First Miguel Angel Goenaga will give a brief presentation and after the screening there will be a question and answer session.

About the speaker

Miguel Angel Goenaga has a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Complutense University and he is specialized in Internal Medicine at the Hospital de Gipuzkoa. He started working in the Home Hospitalization Unit of the current Hospital Donostia, and currently he works in the Infectious Diseases Service of the same hospital. His areas of interest include HIV infection, cardiovascular infections, arthropod-borne infections and PROAs. He belongs to the Infection Commission of the center and to the following scientific societies SEINORTE, SEIMC and SEICAV. His is the president of the latter and member of the Scientific Committee of SEICAV and SEIMC. He is author-co-author of more than 150 scientific publications in national and international journals. He is also a great fan of cinema and especially photography.
