About the speaker

Hector Roche Carrasco studied fundamental physics at Paris-Saclay, completing his master's thesis in the ICFP program at ENS Ulm in Paris, specializing in condensed matter. He is currently pursuing his PhD in physics at the DIPC in San Sebastián on the effect of disorder on superconductivity, with the aim of understanding the impact of structural disorder and the new possible interacting phases that can be obtained theoretically. He is also interested in topological materials in quasicrystalline and amorphous geometries, a topic on which he has published his first scientific paper.
