The Ikerbasque Professor at DIPC and writer Juan José Gómez Cadenas will present his last book Abandonando Ítaca (Leaving Ithaca) on June 11, 19:00 hours, at Ernets Lluch Kultur Etxea in Donostia/San Sebastián.
The author will be accopanied by Gustavo Ariel Schwartz (scientist and writer), Juan Ramon Makuso (poet and editor) and Víctor Gómez Pin (professor and philosopher).
As described by Clara Janés in the prologue, “through the pages of this book, the reader witnesses a monologue that relates the events described by Homer in The Odyssey, but with a different point of view, since this narration takes place once its protagonists, except for Ulysses, have passed away.”
This presentation is part of Mestizajes, an interdisciplinary program at DIPC that crosses the border between art, literature and science to create fertile ground for the generation of new ideas through conferences, seminars, residencies, publications, research projects and collaborations.
