Mestizajes

Mestizajes (which means mixing or crossbreeding) is the DIPC's ambitious interdisciplinary programme that crosses the border between art, literature and science to create fertile ground for the generation of new ideas through workshops, conferences, residencies, publications and collaborations. The project is directed by Gustavo Schwartz (CFM CSIC-UPV/EHU).

Over the years, Mestizajes has promoted various initiatives, including the play "The Interview" and the three-yearly Literature and Science conference.

The book #Nodos, a collective work in which artists, scientists, writers and humanists explore the interaction between different disciplines of knowledge, and Creativium, an artistic reflection on the different phases of scientific creativity, are its two most recent projects.
