The aim of "El Palo de Erotóstenes" program is to try to bring the most cutting-edge research on this subject to the public, in a truthful and more understandable way. Virginia Garcia and Eduardo Zubia will lead the open and free sessions for all the public with an approximate duration of 90 minutes. They will include a brief description of the sky that will be visible during the following month. The most remarkable astronomical objects will be presented by analyzing astrophotographs taken by citizen scientists and the most important news about astronomy will be discussed. In addition, researchers will be invited to talk about their own work.

- The news of the month: The James Webb telescope observes Herbig-Haro objects.
- Image of the month: Dark nebulae in Cepheus.
The sessions will be streamed and recorded and posted on Youtube for those who wish to view them later.

About the speaker
Yetli Rosas is a post-doctoral researcher at DIPC in the field of galaxy formation and evolution. She earned her PhD at Durham University working on hydrodynamical cosmological models. Her current research interests include the study of swept galaxies using magneto-hydrodynamic simulations.
