Light scattering and optical forces on nanoparticles
Internship
Type of Project: Theory
Location: Donostia
Supervisors:
Juan Jose Saenz
The manipulation of particles using laser beams is today an extended method in many laboratories of biology, chemistry and nanotechnology. We will study different basic phenomena of light scattering and the induced optical forces on a particle for, in a second phase, address the problem of multiple interaction between particles. We discuss the analogies between these processes and those occurring in antennas used in telecommunications.
