With the latest advances in light and electron microscopy came a growing amount of biomedical multidimensional image data, which highlights the need for automatic open-source scientific software solutions. One of the most popular ones nowadays is ImageJ, an open platform for scientific image analysis which is highly extensible and contains a large user and developer community behind.
In this project we will see how to design and develop computer vision algorithms in ImageJ to perform the processing and analysis of multidimensional microscopy image data for a variety of tasks that may include image segmentation, image tracking and mathematical morphology.
The candidate should have a basic knowledge on Java programming and be eager to learn the basics of computer vision, image processing and machine learning.
