The main goal of cosmology is to understand the origin, composition, evolution, and fate of our Universe, and use this information to study fundamental physics.

In this summer project, we will analyse computer simulations of the main components and physical processes at play in the Universe. Specifically, we will use the results of these simulations to interpret observational data in galaxy formation and cosmology, focusing on the large-scale structure of the Universe. Combining theory and observations, our ultimate goal is to obtain information about the physics of stars, black holes, and intergalactic gas, as well as constraints on the nature of dark energy and dark matter.
