Synchrotron radiation: x-ray radiation meets physics
Internship
Type of Project: Experimental
Location: Donostia
Supervisors:
Santiago Blanco
In this project, the student will be introduced to the synchrotron radiation to study emergent properties of new materials. The candidate will gain knowledge about optical elelments (mirrors, slits, monocromators) of a beamline as well as the generation of x-rays from the aceleration of electrons in a storage ring and an undulator. The student will have the possibility to visit a beamline, interact with the beamline responsible and the participation in experiments and the analysis of the experimental data.
The project intends to merge theoretical concepts adquired by the student in high energy physics, particle physics through the bachelor with experiments aspects.
Mode: FACE-TO-FACE
