With the latest advances in light and electron microscopy came a growing amount of biomedical multidimensional image data, which highlights the need for automatic open-source scientific software solutions. Deep learning-based computer vision provides novel solutions to deal with such image data and their associated analysis.

In this project we will learn how to design and develop computer vision algorithms in an open-source environment to perform the processing and analysis of multidimensional microscopy image data for a variety of tasks that may include image segmentation, super-resolution, image tracking and more.

The candidate should have a basic knowledge of Python programming and be eager to learn the basics of computer vision, image processing and machine learning. Previous experience with image processing in Python and/or deep learning is a plus but not indispensable.
