In this project, our goal is to make the complex world of nanographenes accessible and engaging for students and enthusiasts through an interactive Android app. Nanographenes are small, graphene-based structures renowned for their unique physical, chemical, and magnetic properties that depend crucially on their shape and edges, making them exciting for innovations in electronics, energy conversion, and quantum technologies. Your role will be pivotal in transitioning our existing Python-based software to the Android platform.

The heart of this app lies in enabling users to construct and investigate small nanographene molecules, delving into some of their fascinating properties. You will be tasked with creating an intuitive user interface for molecule design and linking it to a backend that calculates properties starting from a tight-binding approach.

We're on the lookout for candidates with a strong background in Android app development who are eager to bring their skills to the scientific domain. This project is more than just app development; it's an opportunity to develop a tool that not only makes accurate predictions for simple structures but also serves as an interactive educational platform, offering a deeper understanding of the electronic structure of nanographenes.
