About the speaker

amaia_arregi-4.jpg

Amaia Arregi Buldain. My specialty is scientific communication and the development of STEAM outreach projects aimed at the general public and education. I have been the general coordinator of the last two editions of the Passion for Knowledge science festival (2023, 2019) and have co-created interdisciplinary scientific culture projects such as nanoKOMIK and the Cinema and Science series. I coordinate the Zientziakutxa lecture series and am a member of the organizing committee of the Emakumeak Zientzian alliance, which currently brings together 34 scientific institutions in the Basque Country. Between 2021 and 2024, I was a member of the jury for the STEAM Euskadi Award. I frequently collaborate as a science communicator on the radio (Euskadi Irratia, Onda Vasca). Previously, I completed my PhD in materials science and hydrogen technologies at the University of Trento, after studying physics at the University of the Basque Country.
