About the speaker
Chemist Xabier López is a professor at the University of the Basque Country (EHU) and associate of DIPC. He received his PhD with the Extraordinary Prize under the supervision of Jesús M. Ugalde in 1996. After stays in Canada and the United States, he collaborated for four years in the group of Nobel Laureate Martin Karplus at the Université Louis Pasteur (Strasbourg) and the University of Oxford. He has made important contributions in the field of quantum chemistry.
