We are seeking a candidate to join our team with responsibilities focused on accounting management and payment control.

The role

The role involves working with invoices, bank transactions, and reimbursements, ensuring proper traceability between documentation and payments within internal systems.

Key responsibilities include downloading and filing proof of payments, reconciling bank transactions, matching payments to invoices, recording operations in Fundanet, and providing support with general administrative tasks.

This is a role with a strong operational component, requiring organization, accuracy, and the ability to monitor processes effectively.

Desired background & competences

Education:

  • Vocational Training (FP) in Administration, Finance, or a related field

Experience:

  • Previous experience in administrative or accounting tasks (desirable but not essential with a strong educational background), preferably in an international scientific environment
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Fundanet/Contanet

Languages:

  • Basque
  • English

Competencies:

  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage repetitive tasks with precision
  • Proficiency in Excel or equivalent tools
  • Autonomy and ability to follow processes
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Selection process

Applications received by the deadline will be evaluated by a Committee designed by the DIPC board on the basis of the following criteria:

  • CV of the candidate (50%)
  • Brief statement of interest and reference letters (10%)
  • Personal interview (40%)

Evaluation results will be communicated to the candidates soon after. Positions will only be filled if qualified candidates are found.

The DIPC may revoke its decision if the candidate fails to join by the appointed time, in which case the position will be awarded to the candidate with the next highest score, provided it is above 50 (out of 100).

However, the selected candidate may keep the position if, in the opinion of the Selection Committee, the candidate duly justifies the reasons why he or she cannot join before the specified deadline, and as long as the project allows it.
