The Donostia International Physics Center (DIPC) is seeking a highly motivated professional to join its Administration and Services team as Front Desk Officer at the new DIPC building. The successful candidate will play a key role as the first point of contact for the center, supporting daily building operations in an international research environment.
The role
The DIPC is seeking a Front Desk Officer with the following responsibilities:
- In-person and telephone assistance at the reception of the new DIPC building, acting as the institution’s first point of contact.
- Management of access, visitors and suppliers.
- Direct and ongoing support to the Human Resources and Occupational Risk Prevention departments.
- Collaboration in the proper implementation of internal onboarding, security and Occupational Risk Prevention procedures.
- Contribution to the overall smooth operation of the building and internal coordination.
Desired background & competences
- Minimum intermediate or higher vocational training in administration, management, customer service or a related field.
- Previous experience in reception, customer service or administrative roles, preferably in institutional or international environments.
- Very good command of English and Basque (both required).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional appearance and attitude appropriate to an international institutional environment.
- Regular use of standard office software tools.
- Organised and responsible individual with a strong orientation towards professional interaction.
- Discretion, confidentiality and a strong sense of responsibility.
Working conditions
- Estimated annual gross salary: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and consistent with our pay scales
- Target start date: 2026/06/01

Selection process
Applications received by the deadline will be evaluated by a Committee designed by the DIPC board on the basis of the following criteria:
- CV of the candidate (40%)
- Brief statement of interest and reference letters (10%)
- Personal interview (50%)
Evaluation results will be communicated to the candidates soon after. Positions will only be filled if qualified candidates are found.
Profiles that, in the committee's opinion, do not meet the position's requirements will not be evaluated.
