How to apply

Donostia International Physics Center (DIPC) is looking for candidates to incorporate a graduate for the R+D+i Project Management Department. The selected person will provide support to the R&D Projects office and will report directly to the Economic-Financial and R&D Project Management Director of DIPC.

The role

The candidate's functions will be as follows:

  • Search for public/private financing and support for applications to be submitted according to the regulations.
  • Registration, monitoring and justification of Next Generation funded competitive grants.
  • Elaboration of the necessary supporting documentation per grant in coordination with the project managers.
  • Support in the preparation of budgets linked to grant applications.

Desired background & competences

  • Education: Degree in Economics or Sciences.
  • Experience of 2 years in a research environment.
  • Previous experience of 2 years in economic tasks in direct relation with competitive research projects.
  • High Excel (pivot tables, financial functions, graphics, etc.)..
  • Experience with ERP management systems.
  • Availability for immediate incorporation.
  • Languages: High level of English, Basque and Spanish, spoken and written.
  • Ability to work under deadlines.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Initiative.

Working conditions

  • Estimated annual gross salary: Salary to be negotiated depending on the candidate's profile.

The center

DIPC is a research center whose mission is to perform and catalyze cutting-edge research in physics and related disciplines, as well as to convey scientific culture to society. Located in Donostia / San Sebastian (Basque Country, Spain), DIPC was born from a strategic alliance of both public institutions and private companies. Since 2008 DIPC is a 'Basque Excellence Research Center' (BERC) recognized by the Basque Government's Department of Education. In 2019, DIPC was also recognized as a "Severo Ochoa" Excellence Center by the Spanish Research Agency.

About the team

The work will be carried out under the supervision of the Economic-Financial and R+D+i Project Management Director of the center.

Selection process

Applications will be evaluated by a committee appointed by the Director of the DIPC according to the following criteria (with the weight in percent of the final score indicated in parentheses):

  • Candidate's CV (30%)
  • Demonstrated experience in the areas indicated in this job offer (35%)
  • Personal interview (35%)

In order to pass to the personal interview phase, it will be necessary to obtain a minimum of 45 out of 65 in the evaluation of the CV and experience. Likewise, those profiles that, in the committee's opinion, do not meet any of the requirements for the job position will not be evaluated.

The final resolution of the selection process will be published on the DIPC website as soon as possible.

The DIPC may revoke its decision if the candidate fails to join by the appointed time, in which case the position will be awarded to the candidate with the next highest score, provided it is above 50 (out of 100).
