The Donostia International Physics Center (DIPC) is seeking an Accounting and Order Management Assistant to support the administrative and financial management of the NEXT collaboration project and its associated ecosystem of initiatives.

The role

The Donostia International Physics Center (DIPC) is seeking an Accounting and Order Management Assistant with the following responsibilities:

  • Provide support in accounting and budget monitoring for the NEXT project and related projects.
  • Manage purchase orders: request and follow-up of quotations, supplier registration, issuance and control of purchase orders.
  • File and verify invoices and supporting documentation for audits and funding calls.
  • Communicate with suppliers (both local and international) and coordinate with other DIPC departments.
  • Provide general administrative support in tasks related to the execution of research projects.

Desired background & competences

  • Educational background in Administration and Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in office software (particularly Excel) and familiarity with accounting management tools.
  • Intermediate level of English and Basque.
  • Previous experience in administrative and accounting management, preferably in research environments or foundations.

Working conditions

  • Estimated annual gross salary: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and consistent with our pay scales

Selection process

Applications received by the deadline will be evaluated by a Committee designed by the DIPC board on the basis of the following criteria:

  • CV of the candidate (50%)
  • Cover letter (10%)
  • Personal interview (40%)

Evaluation results will be communicated to the candidates soon after. Positions will only be filled if qualified candidates are found.

The DIPC may revoke its decision if the candidate fails to join by the appointed time, in which case the position will be awarded to the candidate with the next highest score, provided it is above 50 (out of 100).

However, the selected candidate may keep the position if, in the opinion of the Selection Committee, the candidate duly justifies the reasons why he or she cannot join before the specified deadline, and as long as the project allows it.
