Donostia Week-INN

Every year, the most innovative local companies and projects, as well as representatives of research and technology centres, come together for a week at this massive event. The extensive programme of activities includes forums of interaction for innovators, spaces for transmission to the public and activities especially aimed at developing the innovative capacities of the new generations. The DIPC collaborates with many other institutions in several of the proposed activities.

In the 6th edition of the Innovation Week - Donostia WeekINN 2019 - the DIPC organised two colloquiums within Zientzia & Fun in Baga Biga Faktoria; the first, with women scientists from several centres in the area to talk about gender equality in science, while the second focused on several of the most scientific facets of football. In addition, together with the Basque Film Library, a special Film and Science session was organised with the screening of the acclaimed documentary "Apollo 11" (Todd Douglas Miller, 2019) at Tabakalera. Finally, the exhibition of the nanoKOMIK project, the first nanofiction comic, was on display at the San Martin market.

In the Donostia WeekINN 2020 edition, DIPC joined "Women Scientists of Yesterday and Today" activity at the Aquarium to pay tribute to some of the great women scientists of history. In the Donostia WeekINN 2021 edition, we participated in Cinema and Science at Tabakalera (Coherence, James Ward Byrkit, 2013), "Women Scientists of Yesterday and Today" at the Aquarium and "Nanoscience Workshop" organized for schools at the Kursaal together with CFM (CSIC UPV/EHU) and CIC nanoGUNE. In 2022 we returned with a "Materials Science and Nanoscience Workshop" and participated in "Women Scientists of Yesterday and Today".

The Donostia WeekINN 2023 edition will count with the contribution of the DIPC in its activity "Science and Innovation Open Bar".
