On Zientzia

On Zientzia is a documentary-type audiovisual content creation project generated thanks to citizen participation, organised by Elhuyar and DIPC within the framework of the Basque public television's Teknopolis programme. The contest has been devised to produce and disseminate short, original videos on science and technology for all audiences.

The registration period for the new edition will be open from November 6, 2024 to April 29, 2025.

The jury will award three prizes: 

• Best popularization video: 3,000 euros. 
• Best video in Basque: 2,000 euros.
• Young Prize (under 18 years of age): 1,000 euros.

As the UN has declared 2025 International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, the jury will award an extraordinary prize:

• BasQ Prize for the best video on Quantum: 500 euros.

In addition, the video with the highest number of votes on the website www.onzientzia.tv will receive the People's Choice award.
